The body of a woman missing for seven years was found on Sunday March 31 in the trunk of a vehicle in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine), the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture announced to AFP on Monday, confirming news from the newspaper The Parisian. At the time of the disappearance, the husband of this woman, who had raised the alarm, had claimed that his partner had suicidal tendencies, the prefecture said.

The body, in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered during searches in a car which had been impounded for about a month and was due to be destroyed. Previously, this car had been parked in the same place, in an underground car park, for several years. The body was transported to the Garches forensic institute (Hauts-de-Seine) for autopsy.
