“The results of genetic analyzes confirm that it is the body of Héléna Cluyou.” The prosecutor of Brest, Camille Miansoni, confirmed on Saturday February 11 that the body found Thursday, charred, in the middle of the forest in Argol, in Finistère, is indeed that of the young woman who disappeared ten days ago in Brest.
The autopsy “unfortunately did not make it possible to precisely determine the cause of death” of the 21-year-old nursing student, reports a journalist from France Bleu Breizh Izel, present at the press point. According to the prosecutor, the body was burned after death, no trace of soot was found in the respiratory tract of the victim.
Other analyzes in progress
Further analyzes will be carried out to try to determine the causes of death. “It could take weeks”, warns Camille Miansoni. Investigations are continuing to try to determine the scenario that led to the death of the young girl.
The suspect, a 36-year-old man, died in hospital after a double suicide attempt. According to the Brest prosecutor, he was able to meet the victim “Sunday January 29, around 6:45 a.m., after the last image of the victim”.
