(Quebec) An investigation is underway concerning the discovery of two lifeless bodies on Saturday in the Saint-Roch district of Quebec.

Posted at 4:48 p.m.

The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) was called to Notre-Dame-des-Anges Street around 12:30 p.m., when citizens said they had discovered an inanimate body outside.

“By going to the scene and talking to people there, the police were led to enter an apartment building and go to a certain apartment where they discovered a second unamined body, ”explained the spokesperson for the SPVQ, Marie-Pier Rivard.

The victims are two men. The first found outside was approximately 35 to 40 years old, while the second inside was 58 years old, police said.

A security perimeter has been erected in the area. Investigators from the major crimes module as well as the forensic identification unit were called upon to shed light on the circumstances.

The SPVQ announced at the end of the day that according to the investigation elements collected on the spot, the investigators of the serious crimes module confirm the thesis of suicide for the first person found outside.

As for the second body, the investigation is still ongoing.

Mme Rivard mentioned in the middle of the afternoon that it was still too early to establish a link between the two men and their deaths.

The SPVQ invites you to send any information relating to this file to 418-641-AGIR (2447) or to 1-888-641-AGIR for people from outside Quebec City.
