The Blues have a status to enforce. Against Scotland, Saturday March 30 at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh (at 3:15 p.m. live on France 2 and france.tv), the French team must maintain its rank as favorite, facing a team that it has beaten 55 -0 last year. After their success at home against Ireland (38-17), the French face a tricky trip against the confident Scots. The XV du Chardon achieved an authentic feat on Saturday March 23, by winning in Wales for the first time in 20 years, after a close encounter (20-18).
The Blues will have to be diligent so as not to repeat the poor performance of 2020, when they were held in check in Scotland (13-13). A second victory, ideally improved, is a necessary step in the assumed objective of winning all the matches before the announced “final”, against the five-time reigning English champions, on the last day.
