The French women’s team won widely against Kazakhstan (5-0) on Tuesday, October 26 at the Astana Arena (Noursoultan), for the 4th day of qualifying for the 2023 World Cup. In demonstration last Friday against Estonia (11-0), the players of Corinne Deacon had no difficulty in overcoming a Kazakh team overwhelmed by events.
Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored twice, as did Lyonnaise Melvine Malard. France retains its leading position in Group I (12 points), while Kazakhstan is second to last in the standings with zero points on the clock. The two teams will face each other again on November 26 in Vannes for the rest of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
