Friday April 26, students gathered to show their support for Palestine, in the presence, in particular, of Rima Hassan. After a day of blockage, the establishment was finally evacuated.

After a final warning from the police, the students left the Sciences Po Paris building peacefully. This is the end of a blockade which lasted more than 24 hours. Since the beginning of the afternoon, the CRS have been deployed in front of the occupied building. They want to separate the pro-Israeli activists and the pro-Palestinian students who faced each other for most of the day. Members of France Insoumise came to give them their support. This is the case of Rima Hassan, party candidate in the European elections, but also of MP Thomas Portes. He criticized the decision of the Paris police chief to evacuate the Sciences Po building.

No prosecutions against students

For more than 24 hours, the students of rue Saint-Guillaume did not give up. The meeting between the Palestine committee and the Sciences-Po administration was unsuccessful today. They want their school to condemn Israeli bombings in Gaza. The management of Sciences Po has promised to suspend prosecutions against pro-Palestine students, as well as the organization of a public meeting, open to all Sciences Po communities.
