“In all situations, there are always opportunities that present themselves,” observes Jacques Beaulieu, who launched the campaign to promote new homes 25 years ago.

The market has calmed down and that’s good, he believes. “Builders are going to redouble their imagination. Since there are fewer buyers, they are the ones who have the last word. »

Fall is a good time to start shopping, before the spring rush, he notes. “Builders have a more interested ear, because they have a bit more time to answer questions. The rental market is also gaining momentum. It is a component that cannot be denied. There are all kinds of needs in Quebec. Whether for sale or rent, many projects are for retiring baby boomers and 55+ year olds who want a social network. Access to property also remains a very important aspect. »

The real estate projects showcased are aimed at different types of clienteles and are still mainly located in Montreal. But the offer in the suburbs of the metropolis has been considerably enriched in recent years.

Always, the objective is to inform and facilitate consumer research, to help them make an informed choice.

After the forced break, many projects are registered for the first time in the Autumn Open Houses. This is the case of Alégra, backed by the Vallée du Richelieu golf club, in Sainte-Julie. Construction Ambiance Prestige initially plans to build 16 semi-detached bungalows, intended for buyers who want a prestigious property on one level (with a basement and an adjoining garage).

“Open houses bring people who otherwise wouldn’t necessarily come,” noted Louis Ratté, director of operations for the Alégra project. Many take the opportunity to tour projects in the sector that interests them. They arrive with their list and make a kind of pilgrimage. »

Over time, various activities have been held to showcase the creativity of Quebec designers and architects. This time, as part of the Beaux Dimanches Architecture et Design, on October 16 and 23, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to meet the designers of nearly a dozen projects in order to discover the below their creative process. Les Loges, BÉAcité, Osha Condos, Cité l’Acrobate, Symphonia Viu Condominiums, Imperia Condominiums and Alégra will thus be under scrutiny, in their respective sales offices, on one of the two Sundays. The firm ACDF Architecture will also open its doors on October 16 in the afternoon.

The Autumn self-guided tours take place on October 15 and 16, then 22 and 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
