The Interprofession des Fruits et Légumes d’Alsace invites you to the largest presentation of fruits and vegetables produced in Alsace, from September 22 to 25, 2022 in Illkirch. And it’s in partnership with France Bleu Alsace.
Imagine a huge vegetable garden and orchard that would bring together over some 40,000 m² everything that grows in Alsace in terms of fruit and vegetables. 40,000 m² of exhibition space, organized in the form of a vast fan of which a pyramid of vegetables 7 meters high is the heart, and 8 majestic fruit and vegetable structures straight out of mythology form the end of the branches .

We will see a turtle (5 m long and 5 m high), a bear (6 m long and 5 m high), an owl (5 m long and 3 m high), but also new creations acquired from the lemon festival in Menton: lion, fish, dragon, crocodile. We are talking about the staging of 30 tons of squash of all shapes and colors, 10 tons of apples, tens of thousands of carrots, leeks, cabbage, turnips, potatoes, cauliflower. Of course, all the fruit and vegetables used to create the various compositions will be recycled in partnership with local associations.
The Grand Show of fruits and vegetables from Alsace takes place from Thursday September 22nd to Sunday September 25th, at the Baggersee in Illkirch. Everything that grows in Alsace in terms of fruit and vegetables will be presented.
On the entertainment program
- Dozens of events and conferences: Shows for young audiences, health conferences, cooking demonstrations in partnership with Alsatian chefs, vegetable carving show, the entertainment program promises to be particularly rich.
- The big market: Imagine dozens of stalls on which are arranged all the possible and imaginable varieties of local fruit and vegetables, but also all that Alsace offers in terms of agri-food products. The large festive and colorful market will be a great showcase of gourmet Alsace.
- Restaurants and refreshments: Fruits and vegetables on the plate, but not only! In Alsace, everything ends around a generous table and in a good mood, this is the spirit of the catering planned on the site under a marquee and in the open air.
- A vast learning space for school children: Put a name on a vegetable, grate a cabbage, discover the composition of a compost, taste an endive, compose a vegetable soup,… Here are some of the many workshops that will be offered to schoolchildren on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September 2022, two days which will be more particularly dedicated to them.
Practical information
The doors to the show will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Two nights will be offered on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September until 11 p.m.

- The entry price is set at €6. 5€ in presale until September 18, 2022.
- Reduced price: €3 (Valid for students and job seekers)
- Access is free for children under 13 and people with reduced mobility. (Upon presentation of proof at the entrance to the event)
- Free admission for all until 11 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.
