With three athletes at the top this season, the French biathlon team has great ambitions for the Olympic Games.
Carried by Quentin Fillon Maillet, Emilien Jacquelin, and Simon Desthieux, all three in the world top 10, the French men’s biathlon team dreams of medals and titles in Beijing. “It’s a fabulous team, which has never been as strong as it is now, especially among the boys”, assures Jean-Pierre Amat, former coach of the blue selection.
But the French must still adapt to the particular conditions of Beijing. Artificial and hard snow, wind… Parameters synonymous with new settings and new details to work on for the Blues. Without losing their ambition, as Quentin Fillon Maillet explains: “I’m here for the medals, […] the objective is to get the medal that shines as an individual.”
