And security around television channel studios and editorial offices will certainly be reinforced in the coming days after an incident that occurred this Sunday, October 22, 2023, within the channel BFMTV. Marion Maréchal Le Pen was in fact the lunchtime guest on the show “BFM Politics” in order to give his opinion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to discuss the important role of Qatar in this endless war.
The candidate of the “Reconquest” party in the European elections was speaking with journalist Benjamin Duhamel when, only a few minutes after her arrival at 12:07 p.m., a protester in a white t-shirt appeared out of nowhere, and stood in front of Marion Maréchal Le Pen. If it is difficult to understand the demonstrators’ first words, we can nevertheless distinguish the sentence: “Today I decided to interrupt the normal course of things…”. Embarrassed, Marion Maréchal Le Pen stopped speaking and looked at the person, while quietly waiting for the intervention of the security teams.
Quickly, the channel reacted by cutting the air and broadcasting pages of advertisements before rebroadcasting images from the set, five minutes later, without giving the slightest explanation. But, a few minutes later, around 12:21 p.m., a second incident occurred on set, a second individual appeared in turn, forcing the teams to cut the antenna once again. After a new page of advertising, the interview with Marine Le Pen’s niece was able to resume without incident. Since these two individuals came from the audience seated near the stage, everyone in the audience was evacuated.
About thirty minutes after these two incidents, it was revealed that the demonstrators claim to belong to the environmentalist collective Latest Renovation. A photo relayed on
