In Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), residents came to get a dose of good humor with a laughter yoga session. A couple is participating for the second time. “VShas brings me a little relaxation, it relieves tension too”, explains a woman. Laughter is excellent for your health. It would release the happiness hormone, oxygenate the brain and help fight stress. Laughter yoga also stimulates all parts of the body.

10 to 15 minutes of laughter per day

Laughing without any reason and with others to provoke contraction is the principle of this practice which is becoming more and more popular almost everywhere in France. In a nursing home, residents participate in a session. This activity has been offered for three years. “It’s pleasant, it’s full of warmth. It’s something you feel like human warmth”, says a participant. Doctors recommend laughing ten to fifteen minutes a day.
