And you, what were you doing between 9:18 p.m. and 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30? As we know, during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, Paris was celebrated as the city of love. But when Olympism and passion meet, it visibly produces gold. This is the beautiful story that is being written about their exploits by the two Italian fiancés Rossella Fiamingo and Gregorio Paltrinieri.
The couple, respectively a fencer and a swimmer for the Italian Olympic team, both won a medal, as noted on the official website of the Olympic Games. It was first the young woman who snatched the gold, during the team épée final at the Grand Palais against the French team. It was then 9:18 p.m. And “a quarter of an hour of love“Later, at 9:33 p.m., as the Italian team proudly pointed out, her fiancé Gregorio Paltrinieri won bronze in the 800m freestyle at the Défense Arena in Nanterre.
When questioned, the couple revealed their secret of success: they refused to see each other before the tests. The day before the race, I told him I didn’t want to watch his race… because I was also in the finalsmiles Rossella Fiamingo. We both knew we wanted those medals and tonight we wanted to come home with one each to celebrate. One wasn’t enough!”
Once reunited, the Olympic couple couldn’t resist and proudly posted a selfie with their medals on Instagram, with the caption “Two are better than one“.
The fact remains that this is not the couple’s first attempt at success: the couple who met at the Tokyo Olympics have, after Tuesday’s medal haul, seven Olympic medals between them, including one gold each.
