The Beauregard festival will begin one day earlier than planned, on July 3, to welcome David Guetta, DJ and world star, the organizers of the Norman musical event announced on Monday. This “day before” (day before), as the event is called, has already seen big names like Stromae, Depeche Mode and Muse parade in recent years.
David Guetta sits at the top of the trio of French artists (ahead of DJ Snake and Daft Punk, separated since 2021), kings of exports in the 2023 ranking of Spotify, world leader in music streaming. Before Beauregard, the DJ will pass through the national domain of Chambord, known worldwide for its castle. The fifty-year-old succeeds international stars like Sting (2022) and Imagine Dragons (2023) in this historic venue.
150,000 spectators in 2023
The 30,000 tickets for Chambord sold out in five minutes, according to its social networks. David Guetta is no stranger to French heritage. He celebrated New Year’s Eve on December 31, 2020 with a charity concert in front of the Louvre pyramid, via livestream since the threat of Covid-19 loomed.
Beauregard, which lasts until July 7 on the Hérouville-Saint-Clair site (Calvados), near Caen, has already revealed its program. Among the headliners, we find Justice, Massive Attack, Etienne Daho, SCH, Niska, Véronique Sanson and Zaho de Sagazan, crowned four times at the Victoires de la Musique.
The festival brought together 150,000 spectators in 2023. The ticket office for this “day before” opens Tuesday at 10 a.m., on the festival site.
