The BBC will follow Kanye West during the presidential elections

Singer Kanye West, also known as Ye, continues to fascinate, for better or for worse. As proof: the BBC Music channel has decided to devote a new documentary to him as well as a podcast.

Directed by 2017 BAFTA-winning British investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar, the documentary will notably follow Ye through his upcoming campaign to run for President of the United States. Entitled We Need to Talk about Kanye, the film will return to the moments of glory, but also the many setbacks and controversies that marked the life of the author of Donda. It will air on BBC Two.

podcasting The Kanye Story will feature eight episodes. Guests, close or not to the rapper, will come to discuss his creative career and the many debates that his ideas have generated. The release dates for both projects will be revealed in the coming months.

Note: Kanye West is also at the top of a list published by the magazine RollingStone five days ago, a list of the worst albums created by music greats. The Scrapbook Yes, released in 2018, tops this list. According to the editors of the music magazine, this album marked the beginning of the “greatest artistic disaster and personal collapse” in the history of popular music.
