The BB madness is reborn: the power of music videos

To conquer Quebec, Les BB also played an essential card at the end of the colorful 1980s: the music video.

Directed by talented directors like Alain DesRochers and Lyne Charlebois, their clips helped boost their popularity thanks to images that highlighted their sex appeal as their skills as musicians.

“We absolutely wanted to make their videos. The first one we did was You are in the moon. They were on a roof and Kathleen (the singer of I’m doing well) played in it,” relates Mr. DesRochers, who will soon shoot a biographical film on Les BB.

It should be noted that several personalities participated in the group’s music videos. You can also see Stéphane Crète, Didier Lucien and The Magma Twins. In Give me my chance, Gregory Charles is among the many extras. A young Daniel Grou, known by the nickname Podz, was even the editor of certain clips.

At Musique Plus, all the BB video clips created the buzzpoints out Mike Gauthier.

“It was the perfect wedding for all parties. Young teenage girls were watching Musique Plus hoping to see Les BB. At the same time, it allowed them to be seen.”

Here are the main BB music videos

Loulou

Be careful

You are in the moon

Perfumes of the past

Snob

Give me my chance

Alone in battle

You’ll never know

I stretch my arms
