The battle of the presidential candidates is also being played out in the streets. The France 3 teams followed the poster-sticker activists. On the right, those who support Valérie Pécresse. On the left, those who campaign for Fabien Roussel. Their weapons: posters, glue and a few low blows.

This is one of the challenges of the presidential campaign for the candidates: the poster war. In Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), Les Républicains activists intend to cover their department with the face of Valérie Pécresse. The collage locations are strategic, the posters must be visible in the streets, but also on the Internet since the activists share their collage on social networks.

The lifespan of a poster is only a few days, because they can be torn off by competitors, who sometimes make low blows. “There is crushed glass in the glue sometimes”, says Théo Fonseca, LR activist. In Villejuif (Val-de-Marne), the militants of the Communist Party have lower means than those of LR, so they redouble their efforts. But are posters still useful in 2022? All of them will still continue to put up posters for their candidate until Friday, April 8, 11:59 p.m., the date of the end of the official campaign.
