As the European elections on June 9 approach, the National Rally, the main favorite for this election, is expected to win in particular among seniors.

These are the voters who go to the polls the most: seniors. The next European elections will largely depend on their votes on June 9. Even more so in a context of French disinterest in the campaign and therefore risk of record abstention. Not only are there more and more seniors, but they are voting more. Those over 65 therefore constitute an electorate closely scrutinized by all political forces.

The RN in progress

And the vote for the National Rally is progressing among those aged 65 and over. The RN is now close behind Renaissance in voting intentions for the European elections. Leading the way in voting intentions for the Europeans on June 9, the list of the president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, attracts 26% of those over 65, a jump of seven points compared to the previous election, in 2019.
