The bagel was created in the 17th century in a Jewish community in Krakow, Poland and introduced to North America by migrants.
This round ring-shaped bun, unique in its manufacture as well as its taste and the way it is garnished, is a great classic of North American sandwiches.
New Yorkers and Montrealers love it!
It arrived in Lyon, France in 2004. It can now be found in Saint-Etienne, made by Philippe Arnaud de la La Diligence Bakery and prepared on site, at Les Halles Mazerat.
For those who do not yet know the bagel, Tristan Bouquet, manager of the Bagel Factory stand at the Halles Mazerat, makes us discover it.
