The Auxonne carnival celebrated its 100th anniversary

In the streets of Auxonne this Sunday, June 26, you could come across Vikings, goblins, a pink elephant or even a tree that plays music. Three months behind its usual schedule, the city’s carnival was able to take place despite some threatening clouds.

Postponed due to pandemic

It had been postponed due to the pandemic. This time, the only masks visible in the streets of the center were those of the revelers. Twenty-two teams of enthusiasts paraded for 100 years of this festive event.
