With the tragic death of Marwan Berreni, found hanged in an abandoned farm in Saône-et-Loire a few kilometers from the nightclub where he was seen a final time in Mâcon on August 4, 2023, the authors of More beautiful life had to rethink all the plots written for the big return of the series on TF1 next January. Initially, Marwan Berreni was at the heart of the authors’ new narrative device, and his character, Abdel, was to open the ball, alongside Barbara, for a plot focused on their new life young parents of little Yaël Fedala. But unfortunately, the authors had to review their copy, in order to find a coherent way out for the character of Marwan Berreni, without penalizing the actors who surrounded him in the series, mainly Léa François.
This Friday October 20, 2023, as revealed by our colleagues from Parisian, the filming of More beautiful life resume, in a very heavy atmosphere. The actress Léa François is present, as are Laurent Kérusoré and Jérôme Bertin. The story chosen by the authors has been revealed: the authors have chosen to remain faithful to the calendar, and the story will resume one year after the end of the Marseille soap opera on France 3. November 18, 2022, at the end of the big evening during which seven couples got married, including Blanche and François, Kilian and Betty, Alexandra and Kevin and Estelle and Francesco, a collapse destroyed the Mistral district. The story picks up a year after this landslide, with a new Mistral districtmarked by a new, much more modern Mistral bar, still with Barbara, Kilian and Thomas, but without the Le Zéphyr hotel and the Castel family, and without the Le Marci restaurant.
Several characters will die
With this incredible plot, the authors will be able to easily justify the absence of many characters from the cast. Thus, Abdel Fedala’s fate seems sealed. As the authors of Plus belle la vie in Le Parisien indicate, the decision has not yet been definitively made, but it seems obvious: Abdel Fedala should die under the rubble of the Mistral, alongside other characters sacrificed by production. So, François Marci, Kevin and Laetitia Belesta or even the Castel family, who are not returning, could therefore experience a tragic end… To be continued!
