The 15-year-old student, described as difficult, had joined middle school in the middle of the school year. After an incident with his English teacher before the winter holidays, he was excluded from the establishment. Reinstated, he remained banned from English classes. When he tried to attend, Friday March 15, and faced with the professor’s refusal, he went to the principal’s office to whom he gave a letter.
Olivier Caracotch, public prosecutor of Dijon (Côte-d’Or), reports the content: “If you are reading this message, it is because there is a hostage situation in one of your rooms. I am not doing this for any reason. Oh yes, it is for my brothers who died on November 18, 2015 . Madam principal, please trigger the attack alarm and evacuate all students.”
New version facing investigators
The minor then allegedly pointed a knife at the principal, verbally threatening her with death. She managed to leave her office. When arrested, the suspect was placed in police custody.
