The firefighter who was attacked by a protester on the sidelines of the May Day demonstration in Paris on Sunday filed a complaint, according to information from France Inter on Monday May 2. On Sunday, he was trying to put out a pallet fire in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, when a demonstrator tried to stop him, first by grabbing his spear and then by hitting him.
The scene was filmed and broadcast on social networks, angering many Internet users. The Paris Fire Brigade denounced the “savagery” of this attack “incomprehensible”on Twitter.

This Monday at midday, 47 people were still in custody after the demonstration in Paris. The woman suspected of having assaulted this firefighter is among those who were arrested, said Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin on Sunday evening.
