the astronomical sum that his assistant stole from him!

We go back in time to 2000, before Jamel Debbouze got into a relationship and founded a family with Mélissa Theuriau. The comedian then hired a certain Nadia, aged 26, as a financial assistant in his production company Kissman Productions. And he is not ready to forget this big recruitment error.

Indeed, while Nadia was in charge of opening a bank account for him at the CIC and depositing more than 134,000 euros there, she took the opportunity to grant herself a false power of attorney on the comedian’s bank account. And from that moment, the young woman chained transfers and withdrawals. For a total of more than 466,000 euros, in a few months.

In June 2000, the sidekick of Ramzy Bedia and Éric Judor noticed the trickery when he only had around 3000 euros left in his account and this just after having received 380,000 euros for an advertisement… A matter of theft which obviously went through the court.

In 2007, the High Court finally sentenced Nadia to an 18-month suspended prison sentence for “false and use, forgery or falsification of check and use”. In addition to having to repay the stolen sums, she had to pay 4,000 euros in procedural costs and 3,000 euros for non-pecuniary damage. After appealing, she was finally sentenced on February 26, 2010 to a two-year suspended prison sentence because of the character “elaborate and perfectly organized diversions, their multiplicity, and their considerable total amount“.

To date, Jamel Debbouze has still not been reimbursed, the bank having refused to compensate him.
