The “Ukraine at Le Mans” association, created last month, stores various basic necessities (clothing, food products, medical equipment) in a garage.
Except that in less than a week of existence, the garage has become too small.
The people in charge of the association are appealing to communities and why not to individuals to find a larger room.
Donations arrive throughout the day
Tetiana is one of the leaders of the “Ukraine at Le Mans” association. This young mother juggles between donations from individuals who arrive at her home throughout the day and she also takes care of her two-month-old baby whom she breastfeeds every three hours. She is very moved by the solidarity of the Sarthois. A success she did not expect. In less than a week, his approximately 60m2 garage is full of basic necessities.
The first products of the Sarthois have left for Paris
The first products are sent to Paris to two Ukrainian associations. There is a section more specifically for soldiers with medical and paramedical equipment and another for residents with non-perishable foodstuffs and baby products and clothing. Tetiana admits regretting the lack of support from communities:
today, we need a larger room; we have donations, we also have many volunteers who sort and make parcels, but the garage is too small
