12,000 Cambodian children saved in 25 years

The NGO “For a Child’s Smile (PES) acts for 25 years in Cambodia with extremely poor children forced to work in harsh and dangerous conditions.

PSE currently supports more than 6,500 children : fed, cared for, protected, educated, then trained in a trade.

To date, more than 5,500 other young people have graduated from the programs and are in skilled employment. The association – recognized as charitable – received the Human Rights Prize in 2000.

A film screened on February 22 in Strasbourg

On February 22, 2022, the PSE Alsace Lorraine branch invites you to meet Marie-France des Pallières, founder of the association “For a Child’s Smile” (PES) for an evening rich in emotions, accompanied by Karuna, a young student from PSE who will talk about her journey.

After the screening of the film In Cambodia, from poverty to a job », the founder will present the new challenges of the association while returning to this extraordinary adventure which has lasted for 25 years.
