The president of the Association of rural mayors of France, Michel Fournier, called Tuesday, December 21 on franceinfo the elected representatives of rural municipalities “not to make a ceremony of vows or any particular gathering in order to avoid this danger” contamination with Covid-19, at the end of the year 2021.

Michel Fournier participated today in a videoconference with Prime Minister Jean Castex on the subject of strengthening health measures to limit contamination with the Omicron variant which is spreading on the territory. The elected official believes that there has been a “listen” members of government present at the meeting.

He recalls that “The rural mayors of France, since practically the start of this pandemic, were in favor of compulsory vaccination so we are in this continuity. (…) It also means that everyone is in favor of the vaccination pass”.
