Catch-up session for ASNL this Wednesday evening in Toulouse. Against the TFC, the Nancy did not make the weight and left with a heavy defeat, 4-0. Nancy, handicapped by the expulsion in the first act of Basila (25′) quickly sank against Ado (29′), Genreau (30′), Van den Boomen (55′) and Rafael (88′). With this 12th defeat of the season, ASNL remains stuck in last place in the standings.
One red and the ASNL changes color
In the space of five minutes, the ASNL lost its footing. The logical exclusion of Basila in the first half hour of play undoubtedly precipitated the fall of Nancy in this meeting. Before that, Albert Cartier’s men had been diligent and keen to maintain tactical discipline despite some technical waste. The Nancy pressing is then effective and keeps the Toulousans at a distance.
Unfortunately, all these good arrangements were shattered after the first two Toulouse goals. ASNL then lost and suffered before the addition grew heavier in the second half.
This defeat, for a Toulouse team which should evolve next season in Ligue 1, is not infamous in itself, but it has shown that in attitude and intentions, there is still progress to be made. Areas in which it will quickly be necessary to find the solution to hope to continue to believe in the maintenance.
