Thousands of members of the Armenian diasporas gathered in Brussels (Belgium), Sunday October 1, in support of the refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. “We are neither separatists nor rebels. We are quite simply a people who want to live on their land. Is asking for the right to self-determination a separatist?“, asks a demonstrator. “Today, we are not going to be silent. We are here and we are going to fight“, says another.
Europe “exchanges the blood of Armenians for gas”
The mobilized Armenians also expressed their anger towards European governments. “Europe is also responsible for everything that happens through its legendary inaction, and because it exchanges the blood of Armenians for gas, supposedly not bought from the Russians but which it nevertheless buys through Baku. Fed up“, thunders a woman. In France too, rallies have multiplied, notably in Lyon (Rhône), where several hundred mobilized.
