Mariana Mazza to star in new sketch comedy The arena.
It was promised on Wednesday that the 12 half-hours “explore[ront] in a comic, realistic and sometimes disarming way all everyday situations”.
The other actors will be revealed shortly.
They will defend characters that we will follow everywhere in the arena, both on the ice, on the players’ bench, in the locker room, in the stands and even in the canteen.
It will be about hockey, figure skating, zamboni and, of course, poutine and roteux.
Produced by Entourage, in collaboration with Bell Media, and an original idea by Nathalie Brigitte Bustos, Julien Pelletier and Sébastien Ravary, the series will be filmed starting at the end of the summer.
The broadcast is planned on Noovo in 2024.
