After three years of absence, the Ardéchoise is preparing its big comeback.
In three weeks to the day, the Ardèche Verte, open this year to electric bikes, will kick off four days of celebration on the roads of the department. Eight thousand volunteers will be present in the 175 villages crossed by the event and nearly 10,500 competitors are expected. To date, 9,000 competitors have registered but the organizers hope that during the last three weeks before the start, the latecomers will validate their participation in this 2022 edition which still has many surprises in store from June 15 to 18.
Among the novelties: the Ardéchoise Ultra
As its name suggests, this event is reserved for the most seasoned. The challenge: complete the longest route in a single stage: La Méridionale, i.e. 618 km and 41 passes! This year, l’Ardéchoise also wants to be eco-responsible by eliminating bottles of still water at the refreshment points and at the Saint-Félicien site with the installation of water ramps.
