From January 1, 2023, it will no longer be possible to swim in the Aquagliss pools, the Freyming-Merlebach swimming pool, until the end of March. The community of communes of Freyming-Merlebach which manages the complex has taken this decision to save energy. This pool is heated exclusively by gas and its operation becomes too expensive.
Modified schedules and lower temperatures
Other measures to save money: the swimming pool will close earlier in the evening. The temperature of the pools and the air will be reduced by one to two degrees. With these measures, Pierre Lang, the president of the community of municipalities, hopes to reduce the amount of the gas bill by 45%.
