A Utah couple lost their lives in a car accident as they were preparing to announce to their loved ones the arrival of their first child in a few weeks.

In her tenth week of pregnancy, Chloe Scott, just in time for Christmas, had to announce the biggest news of her life.
The American had just learned that she was pregnant and had to share the information with her family who reside in the neighboring state of Arizona.
On December 20, Chloe Scott and her boyfriend Parker were involved in a violent head-on collision with a truck.
The woman had no chance. His death was noted when first responders arrived, according to People media.
Parker was transported to a hospital and died of his injuries three days later.
Local authorities have confirmed that Chloe Scott was pregnant with a baby boy at the time of the tragedy.
In a Facebook post, his family paid tribute to the young couple aged in their twenties.
“We are devastated and the world has truly lost one of its best people. Chloe was truly joyful, inspiring, accomplished and she brought a lot of joy to those around her […] They were so excited to be parents and to share the news with their loved ones at Christmas,” we read.
A GoFundMe crowdfunding page was created by their loved ones with the aim of providing the “necessary financial support to the victims’ families”.
More than US$200,000 was raised by the family in less than four days.
