A decision taken after government announcements to fight the Covid-19 epidemic. The 49th Angoulême international comic book festival, initially scheduled for January 27 to 30, will be postponed due to the health crisis, its delegate general Franck Bondoux announced on Tuesday, December 28.
Faced with the surge in contamination and after the new restriction measures, announced on Monday, including the return of gauges for major events, “the idea is not to force fate at all costs to have a degraded event”, he explained, adding that“with this postponement, the festival will be in vital need of exceptional assistance” of public authorities.
