The demonstrations of the world of justice Wednesday, December 15 are not “not a whim of a few unions or a political recovery”, said on franceinfo Céline Parisot, president of the Union Syndicale des Magistrates (USM). A national call to strike was launched by an inter-union, which brings together 17 organizations, to demand resources “worthy for righteousness”.

The movement is gone “of a spark on a completely dry soil”, recalls Céline Parisot. “This spark is the platform” published in the newspaper Le Monde, “which set fire extremely quickly. It is the suffering at work, today in our professions, which is very significant, which is really daily and which we can no longer bear for the litigants”.

The president of the USM considers that the magistrates cannot “no longer endure pretending to do justice when the conditions in which we do it are totally unsatisfactory”. Magistrates can no longer “to deliver justice in the middle of the night, when we are all completely exhausted, it is not possible. We are too fed up and we cannot leave the litigants in such a situation, because they are the ones who suffer everything that”.

A delegation from the intersyndicale was received in the early evening on Wednesday December 15 by the director of the cabinet of the Minister in charge of Public Accounts, Olivier Dussopt. Celine Parisot is “congratulations on having been received at Bercy”, because the unions had “the opportunity to present the problems of our professions, the problems of justice, which are nevertheless very specific”.

She believes she had “attentive listening which nevertheless shows that the suffering of professionals is taken into account”. She says hope “that it is not in vain and that we can observe a significant evolution”. “Give us the usual government speech today, we can no longer hear it”, alert the magistrate again.

She acknowledges that the Department of Justice “received more than others in percentage increase, in absolute value. But we are starting from so low that today, we can no longer hear it”.
