Benyamin Netanyahu, alone against all? At the heart of criticism from part of the Israeli population for several months, well before the attacks of October 7, the Prime Minister seems more and more isolated: for example, he also criticizes his army, responsible according to him for the security fiasco of the attacks. Hamas on kibbutzim; or recently, he criticized his American ally, who according to him would not provide him with enough bombs.
Finally, there are the families of hostages or former hostages who no longer want to speak to him: this is the case of Nissim Louk, the father of Shani Louk, this young Israeli-German woman who died on October 7. The video of his daughter’s body in the back of a pickup truck went around the world. His remains were finally found in a Gaza tunnel a little over a month ago. Shani Louk was then buried. “For us, the circle has come full circle. But there are still 120 hostages, still in Gaza.”deplores Nissim Louk.
When the Prime Minister’s office called him on Tuesday June 18 to invite him, he declined without hesitation. “The purpose of this call was to invite us with the courageous soldiers who found Shani’s body and then to make this meeting a sort of parade. I have already met them, these soldiers. In my home. These courageous soldiers. very nice young people. We hugged them. I don’t need this kind of circus.” he explains.
Nissim Louk had already refused the presence of ministers who absolutely wanted to speak at his daughter’s funeral. In his eyes, the current government no longer has any credit.
“Netanyahu is weak. He has been prime minister for almost 20 years. When you are weak for 20 years, you are responsible. A week before the attack, our government told us not to worry about the Hamas, that he controlled it with the bags of money he gave them We fed the monster and we will always remember that the massacre of October 7 is linked to Netanyahu. think of Golda Meir…”assures Nissim Louk.
“Forever, October 7 will be attributed to Benjamin Netanyahu”

The mourning is over. Now is the time for battle: “We are good, we are strong”, he said. And Nissim Louk made it his mission, he says, to campaign until the end of his life so that Israel becomes a safe country again. For him, this obviously involves the departure of Benyamin Netanyahu.
