A prosperous week for the JDA Basket on the transfer market. After Gregor Hrovat on Monday, the club formalizes the arrival of a new recruit, the American strong winger Markis McDuffie, 24, who signed up for a season. The player will discover the French championship, he who played last year under the colors of Napoli Basket, in the Italian first division.
McDuffie (2.03 m) made his range in the USA where he knew his first team, the Whichita State Shockers (2015-2019), before going to discover Europe, first in Hungary at Alba Fehervar. Then towards Italy, first in the second division in Piacenza then, as said above, in Napoli.
A wide offensive range
Fabien Romeyer, sports director of the JDA, welcomed this arrival in a press release from the club: “He is an active player defensively, slender in attack with a wide offensive panoply. He is dangerous on the outside shot and has a faculty of percussion. Markis also offers us the possibility of shifting him by sequence to the position of winger according to the meetings.”
