The Swiss ambassador to France sets out to meet citizens by bicycle. An original initiative, very far from the cozy atmosphere of the salons, told on Monday, October 24.
In cycling gear, on a brand new racing bike, the Swiss ambassador to France, Roberto Balzaretti, has decided to explore France by electric bike. Despite appearances, this is not a walk, but a diplomatic tour. “The clothes make the job sometimes and sometimes you have to change clothes to show that you can do a different job too”, smiles the Swiss ambassador before adding: “Today, the job is to go to people, to see what is happening in the territory.”
Roberto Balzaretti will tell his journey on social networks. A fun fact, but for his Excellency, the bike is not a joke, but rather a way to promote Franco-Swiss relations. His goal is to “create a network of friends, influencers” for “convince Parisian decision-makers to do good things with regard to Switzerland.” A Swiss breakaway, on the Tour de France.
