Good news for the Montreal Alouettes: running back William Stanback seems fully recovered from his ankle injury suffered during training camp and he will be in position for the opener on Thursday against the Montreal Stampeders. Calgary.

Stanback took all the throw-ins in the first unit on offense in Tuesday’s practice and head coach Khari Jones confirmed his presence in the lineup for the season opener.
The CFL’s leading running back with 1,176 yards on 193 carries last season, Stanback inflicted the injury on himself in the early days of camp. She prevented him from taking part in his two preparatory games.
Defensive back Jarnor Jones, who has had limited practice due to a hand injury, should also be available for the game against the Stampeders. On the other hand, defensive back Najee Murray, injured in the foot, did not train and should not take part in Thursday’s game.
