The Alouettes hire defensive back Macon Clark

(Montreal) The Montreal Alouettes have hired American defensive back Macon Clark.


The six-foot, 185-pound football player played in 51 games in five seasons with the Tulane University Green Waves. The Louisiana native had 153 solo tackles and 49 assisted tackles, including 19.5 tackles for loss, in addition to nine interceptions.

The 24-year-old also knocked down eight passes, recovered two fumbles and caused four. In his final campaign, he made the All-AAC first team.

In 2023 he was part of the Chicago Bears organization.

The Alouettes also announced that they had released American linebacker CJ Avery.
