The Alouettes | David Brown and Najee Murray sign new deals

The Montreal Alouettes announced Friday that offensive lineman David Brown and defensive back Najee Murray have initialed two-season deals.



Brown, a six-foot-five, 300-pound athlete from London, Ont., Made 10 appearances for the Montreal squad in 2021, including three as a starter.

The former Western University Mustangs also made a center start in the Eastern semi-final against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The 27-year-old helped the Alouettes to lead the Canadian Football League with 5,205 attacking yards and 2,023 rushing yards.

As for Murray, who is five feet eight inches and weighs 194 pounds, led the Alouettes with three interceptions in 2021, including one for a touchdown, in just ten games.

The 27-year-old defensive back, who is from Stubenville, Ohio, added 24 defensive tackles to his record, as well as two on special teams, in addition to knocking down four assists. He has five career interceptions, two of which have resulted in touchdowns.
