According to the TSN network, performance bonuses would also be included in the agreement. The reserve quarterback position has been available since the departure of Matthew Shiltz, who had been with the Montreal organization for four years. The latter signed a contract Friday with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Harris played four games last season with the Als before being released in December. The 35-year-old quarterback was acquired from the Edmonton Elks to deal with an injury to Vernon Adams Jr.
During his career, Harris also played for the Toronto Argonauts and the Ottawa Redblacks.
In four games with the Sparrows last year, he threw eight touchdowns and two interceptions.
