The Alouettes add Vincent Desjardins and Jake Harty to their roster

The Montreal Alouettes have added two Canadians to their roster by offering one-year contracts to defensive lineman Vincent Desjardins, as well as receiver Jake Harty.

Desjardins played his first season with the Alouettes in 2022, collecting one tackle in four games. The six-foot-one, 275-pound footballer played his first two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders (2019-21), registering three tackles, forcing one fumble and recovering one in 18 games.

Harty (six-foot-two, 210 pounds) was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the second round in 2015. He had 48 catches for 378 yards and a touchdown in 57 CFL games. Versatile, the 32-year-old athlete also made 24 special teams tackles.

He won the Gray Cup with the Rouge et Noir in 2016, after also appearing in the final in 2015.
