Less than a week before the opening of the Agricultural Show, farmers are maintaining pressure on the government. Actions still take place locally against certain large stores.

It’s a fanfare return for farmers in Gaillac (Tarn). This is where it all started this fall with the construction of a wall in front of a public finance center. “We would like the promises revealed to be implemented”requires Marie-Line Bruel, co-president of the FDSEA du Tarn.

“Bring a real long-term vision”

“Emmanuel Macron must bring a real long-term vision from Saturday and not sprinkles”, demands Bruno Cardot, farmer in Aisne. Saturday February 24 will be notably marked by the opening of the Salon de l’Agriculture in Paris. Ministers expect not to be received with the usual fervor, as recognized by Marc Fesnau, Minister of Agriculture. The agricultural unions had left the executive until the launch of the Show to take concrete measures and are threatening to resume blockades.
