Friday, May 6, the agreement between insubordinate France and the Socialist Party for the legislative elections of June 2022 was validated. Within the PS, some are against.

Friday, May 6, at 0:30 a.m., the Socialist Party (PS) ratified the agreement with insubordinate France (LFI) for the legislative elections of June 2022. “I would have liked it to be done before the presidential election”notes a left-wing activist. “We are going to have to walk together now and the heavy responsibility that Jean-Luc Mélenchon takes on this evening is that he is now the one who will carry the hopes of the whole left and the environmentalists”, said Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS. Earlier in the evening, he was taken to task in the middle of a speech.

For some executives, the agreement does not pass. “If being faithful, being loyal, means killing the Socialist Party, it means that this party does not deserve to exist”, thus assumes Carole Delga, PS president of the Occitanie region who will support candidates against the union of the left. Pierre Jouvet, spokesperson for the PS and negotiator with LFI, warns that these dissidents will be excluded from the PS.
