Acura has announced its first 100% electric SUV, as part of the Monterey Car Week event, which will be marketed for 2024. For the occasion, the brand has decided to bring back the ZDX name.
Introduced alongside the Precision EV Concept, the ZDX will be the first production model to offer multiple themes from Acura’s new design. Developed in conjunction with General Motors (GM), the ZDX will share the Ultium electrical architecture.

“Our accelerated journey to electrification begins today with the all-new ZDX, Acura will play a key role in our corporate strategy to achieve 100% carbon neutrality by 2050 […] said James Marchand, Assistant Vice President of Acura Canada.
In addition, Acura will also launch a ZDX in Type S trim. “, continues Mr. Marchand.
Starting in 2026, Acura will launch other vehicles that will be based on the “e:Architecture” platform created by Honda.
Remember that the ZDX arrived on the market in 2010 with a bold design that was both practical and sporty. It was powered by a 300 horsepower V6 engine that worked together with an all-wheel-drive system. His story was short-lived as he was retired after 2013.
