Gérard Depardieu was questioned by the judicial police on Monday April 29, in Paris, for suspicion of sexual assault which allegedly took place on film sets in 2014 and 2021. Released at the end of the afternoon, the actor will be judged next October.

For around ten hours, Gérard Depardieu was interviewed and confronted by several complainants in the premises of the Parisian judicial police. During the day of Monday April 29, the actor was questioned about suspicions of sexual assault on film sets. Police custody was lifted at the end of the day, and the actor will be tried next October. The accusations are notably made in the press by a former assistant on a short film by Jean-Pierre Mocky shot 10 years ago.

“Scream! Scream! That’s going to make them cum down there!”

“I open a cupboard and he pushes me in, grabbing my ass and shouting, ‘Scream! Scream! This is going to make them cum down there!’testified a complainant at Western Mail on February 16. Two other women accuse the actor, this time on the set of Green shutters, a film by Jean Becker released in 2021. Gérard Depardieu is notably indicted for rape and sexual assault after a complaint from Charlotte Arnoult. In total, around twenty women testified in the press or in court.
