One of Quebec’s great comedians, Gérard Poirier, passed away at the age of 91
The actor, born February 4, 1930, was known for his roles in L’Auberge du chien noir, The time of a peace, The Braves park and The Plouffe. He also participated in films and plays during the 60 years of his career.
The Minister of Culture and Communications, Nathalie Roy, offered her condolences to the family and relatives of the actor. “Gérard Poirier will have marked the Quebec imagination by interpreting so many major roles,” she wrote on the social network Twitter.
