It was a general practitioner who discovered the fraud. According to our colleagues from Parisian, the practitioner was surprised to see that one of his patients had been vaccinated several hundred kilometers from his home. He contacted the Taillan-Médoc nurse to ask for confirmation. The latter logged into her account and discovered the hack. She had only performed a dozen injections, her profile counted almost 700 in 3 weeks.
The Bordeaux police have been charged with the investigation. 6 months of work were needed to crack the pirate software and go back to the origin of the fraud. On Tuesday, the police got their hands on the criminals: a couple living in the Lyon suburbs.
At the home of the “pirates” the police seized 9,000 euros in cash, twenty cell phones, computers and a handgun. The suspects have been charged. The principal author was remanded in custody, his accomplice under judicial control. The investigations are continuing.
