30 minutes of interview to become a teacher: this is the unprecedented initiative launched by the Academy of Versailles, which is sorely lacking in staff. A total of 2,000 positions are to be filled.
At the rectorate of Versailles (Yvelines), on the morning of Monday, May 30, around thirty aspiring teachers are waiting to pass their job interview, to become contractual. To apply, a baccalaureate + 3 is enough. Candidates therefore have profiles that are far removed from teaching. Fiona, a guide for children with disabilities, came to try her luck: 30 minutes to become a primary school teacher. An opportunity for her, who thinks she can be “a good teacher“.
The operation is organized in partnership with Pôle Emploi. The academy of Versailles offers a total of 2,000 positions, from the start of the school year. The goal? Provide a quick response, due to a large number of offers available. The unions denounce these recruitments. According to them, they make the job more precarious but also lower the level.
