the Abbé-Pierre foundation delivers a severe assessment of the five-year term

The Abbé-Pierre Foundation calls them “the left behind of accommodation“. In its report on the state of poor housing, presented on Wednesday February 2 in the presence of Emmanuel Macron, the foundation estimates that 12.1 million people have been made vulnerable by their housing (unpaid bills, overcrowding, fuel poverty, rents excessive), as detailed by journalist Gilles Papin. Poorly housed people are 4.1 million. Among them, the homeless people would be no less than 300,000 in France.

On these subjects, the report overwhelms the five-year term of Emmanuel Macron. This is demonstrated, for example, by the number of social housing units built: from 125,000 in 2017, France has increased to 87,000 in 2020,when 2.2 million households are waiting for social housing. The foundation also deplores the 15 billion euros of cuts in the APL during the mandate.
